Latest from the Missions Committee. At the last meeting, it was decided to award a gift of support to Flint Acres Farm in West Baldwin who has been providing our food Pantry with fresh produce. Production includes pea tendrils, beets, kale, lettuce, bok choi, basil, summer squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, Swiss chard, cabbage, broccoli and spaghetti squash. The Flint Acres Project focuses on growing nutritious and fresh local food, both ecologically and sustainably. They began in 2012 as a project to put food into local food pantries. Flint Acres is leased and managed by Don Kauber who will use the money to hire some help for weeding and other farm chores. For more information, email: email@example.com.
